I have been coming to knowsley safar park for many years, this place is absolutly fantastic and gives everyone a great opporutunitiy to get up close to animals, within the safety of their cars! The Café is lovely and perfect for families, couples and also childresn with a well maintained play area just outside.
I was lucky enough for my fiancé to buy me a photography experience with Martin Birchall a professional and well established photographer. The experienece day was fantastic and I would recommended this to any level of photographer from tip top professional to someone who has never held a camera in their life. Martin is a fantastic teacher, very patient and fantastic at explaining clearly and concise. I took some of my best photographs on that day and todate and beyond i know I will be using the skills, and knowledge he taught me on that day.
The park is brilliant, with loads of animals to see, not only the exoctics, but also a farm and pets corner. There is also a falconry area with shows. you can tell the staff are very well trained and show genine love and care for the animals.
One of the best quite newly bit section of the park is the Giraffe deck, the giraffes are very inquistive and come right up to you so you can touch them. They are very tame and friendly. this was one of the best expereiences i have had as one of my favourite animals is giraffe. magical.
I also drove through the park, a lioness came right up to the car sniffed my wing mirror yawned right at my window, the ranges you could see were also eagerly watching this. The baboons are really cheeky monkeys! If you dont want your car trashed dont go through, but they will come all over your car - i suffered minor damage but costly! I dont mind as it's only a car and the experience was well worth it!
they also have merekats which again are very tame and so comical again i took some of my best pictures of that day of the merekats.
Another hidden secret to the park is a woodland walk which again offers a multiude of photographic shots, a definite must see.

Definitly a full family day out and well worth the money. If you can try and do all the attractions it is well worth it. Young children and children of all ages will enjoy this attraction.
